Iconic giant donut sign in Burlington topples after wind storm

The giant donut sign that stands outside of Burlington’s Sunshine Doughnut Company had a great fall recently.
With the onslaught of winter storms hitting the area over the past couple of weeks, the donut took a tumble amid the huge snow and wind storm on Friday, March 3rd. Thankfully, no one was injured – though the donut has surely seen better days.
Sunshine Doughnut Company’s massive donut has been an iconic fixture of this popular donut shop for years, drawing folks from near and far over to get their share of the shop’s excellent small-batch donuts.
The bakery regularly has a wide assortment of enticing flavours on hand, from classics like vanilla bean glaze or chocolate with sprinkles to more elaborate seasonal ones like pink champagne or peanut butter banana pie.
This Burlington staple sure could use some extra love, so pop by at 439 Brock Avenue to nab a dozen or two!
