A new residential tower in Hamilton promises to hit some impressive heights.
The forthcoming condominium tower is called The Moderne and promises a height of 36 storeys, making it the second-tallest building in Downtown Hamilton.
Launched by Spallacci Group and Valery Homes, this new addition to the Royal Connaught Square at the corner of King Street and Catharine Street is the first of three new residential buildings planned for the site, adding a sleek modern touch to a century-old local landmark.
“Renovating and revitalizing the historic Royal Connaught was always about ushering in a new era for downtown Hamilton. We know that this has been a tough year for the city, but the changes that have occurred in our downtown over the last 5 years have been dramatic and are here to stay. We’re thrilled to have played a role in that resurgence,” said Rudi Spallacci, President of Spallacci Group.
“Now is the right time to bring The Moderne to market and continue to support the city with new investment. With our latest phase we’re introducing an unrivalled level of quality to urban living in Hamilton.”
Glass and metal provide a great deal of the forthcoming tower’s contemporary aesthetic, with an art-deco style podium at the tower’s base that pays homage to the site’s rich history.
The numerous amenities at The Moderne notably include a space called The Social Club that will take up the entire 8th floor of the tower and feature a fireside lounge, meeting room, co-working space, games room, movie theatre, a bar for wine and scotch tasting, and a rooftop patio with a dining terrace featuring grills and fire pits.
The elegant interiors have been helmed by Toronto’s esQape design, and blend the historical with the modern with everything from furnishings to lighting to finishes.
