A new shop for stunning photo books and coffee is opening in Hamilton

For lovers of gorgeous art photography, a new shop and cafe opening in Hamilton is sure to become a local favourite.

The shop is called Rooney’s, and it’s gearing up to open soon in the city’s east end at 724 Main Street East, offering up a curated selection of stunning photo books as well as filter coffee and baked goods.

This hybrid of a coffee shop and photo book store is being launched by Hamilton photographer Katie Sadie, who will be featuring works by local photographers on the shop’s shelves alongside photographers from all over the world.

Just some of the photo book publishers that will be in stock at Rooney’s include Café Royal Books, TBW Books, Void, and 10×10 Photobooks among numerous others with a rotating selection of books to peruse.

Events and workshops will also be on offer at this new spot, which is poised to become a unique fixture of Hamilton’s small business community once it officially opens up with a targeted timeframe of mid-June.
