A brand new spot for Thai food in Hamilton quietly opened its doors recently, and it’s certainly got us intrigued.
Mimi’s Asian Gourmet recently opened in the lower city at 971 King Street East near other beloved spots like The Capitol Bar, Vintage Coffee, and Tall Tree Sandwich Co.
The new restaurant offers a robust and varied menu of curries, stir fries, noodle dishes, and more, with a focus on recipes derived from Thai and other South East Asian cuisines such as Indonesian and Malaysian.
Thai classics like Pad Thai and Green Curry are on offer here, as well as dishes like Nasi Goreng, an Indonesian fried rice; Singapore-style Laksa, a spicy noodle dish; and plenty of other comfort foods like spring rolls, corn fritters, mango salad, lemongrass soup, and peanut curry.
But that barely scratches the surface of the range of dishes available at Mimi’s Asian Gourmet, which looks to have something for pretty much anyone from vegan to carnivore.
This new spot looks like a promising addition to Hamilton’s sturdy Thai food scene, so go check them out at 971 King Street East!
