A popular bubble tea chain is opening a location on James North

Hamilton is a city that loves its bubble tea, so it makes sense that yet another spot for the delicious drink is planning to open its doors in the city.

Gong Cha, a massive international bubble tea franchise launched back in 2006, already has numerous locations in Canada including Mississauga, Whitby, Scarborough, Waterloo, and multiple spots throughout Toronto.

The Taiwan-based chain is getting ready to open its very first Hamilton location along the James North strip at 109 James Street North in the space that most recently held health food spot Fresh Kravings.

The menu at Gong Cha is quite expansive and rangy, featuring a vast array of tea options ranging from bright & tropical to sweet and chocolatey in flavour profile, as well as coffee beverages, milk teas, and much more.

On top of that, the chain offers what they call Teaffogato, a play on the Italian dessert that traditional combines coffee with vanilla ice cream, with Gong Cha using their tea as the base.

Already poised to be a standout in Hamilton’s brimming bubble tea scene, keep your eyes peeled along James North as Gong Cha prepares to announce an opening date!
