Hamilton is pretty lacking when it comes to spots for authentic Ethiopian food, but the city just got a brand new market worth checking out.
Abol Market is open at 454 King Street East by the corner of King East and East Avenue South, serving as a shop for Ethiopian eats, pantry items, snacks, spices, and even cleaning supplies.
The market’s food items are wide-ranging include absolute staples of Ethiopian cuisine like injera: a traditional Ethiopian flatbread that’s sour-fermented, pancake-like, and typically made out of teff flour.
Other details about Abol Market are currently pretty scant, but the shop seems to be open daily from 11 am to 7 pm for in-person shopping. Go check them out, Hamilton!
