A spot for fresh & delicious poke bowls is opening on James North

Lovers of poke – that colourful and tasty Hawaiian dish that loads a bed of rice with fresh vegetables and raw cuts of sushi-grade fish – have a new spot to try on Hamilton’s bustling James Street North.

Well, the location itself is new, but the restaurant itself is not: Poke Co already has an established flagship location on Ottawa Street North, and recently announced its expansion with this new sister restaurant along the James North strip.

Opening today –  Thursday, May 19th – at 301 James Street North in the former home of The Nine Realm Hotpot, Poke Co will offer everything locals have come to love about the Ottawa Street North location, with a range of thoughtful signature bowls or the option to build your own.

Each bowl starts with a base layer of sushi rice, brown rice, or lettuce that gets loaded with a choice of protein – including salmon, ahi tuna, chicken, and tofu – and then topped with an array of fresh vegetables from edamame to cabbage to pickled ginger.

Poke Co’s existing location has cultivated a strong reputation in just a handful of years open in the city, and their James North expansion is sure to be just as warmly embraced!
