A unique pop musical that’s received acclaimed productions around the world will premiere in Hamilton for the first time.
35MM: A Musical Exhibition – the inaugural production by the theatre company Crown Point Players – will be presented at the new café and art gallery Crown & Press (303 Ottawa Street North) from June 20th to 23rd, featuring a talented cast of local performers.
This unusual musical feels more like a concert with a connective theme: composer Ryan Scott Oliver wrote his eclectic, thrilling collection of songs – each one telling a different story – inspired by the evocative photography of his partner Matthew Murphy.
The score ranges from pop tunes to rock anthems to murder ballads to folk songs and everything in between, promising an exciting night of musical theatre that goes well beyond your standard showtunes.
Directed by Claire Hughes with music direction by Abi Veenstra, 35MM is a show that lovers of live theatre and live music alike won’t want to miss it!
