Beloved Hamilton apothecary on Locke Street closing after 23 years

A favourite shop on Locke Street in Hamilton is closing its doors after an impressive 23 years in the city.
Pure Home Couture has been located at 174 Locke Street South since 2002, known for their own unique brand of apothecary products for home and bath use including scented candles, soaps, lotions, perfumes, bath bombs, natural deodorants, and much more.
However, after over two decades in their Locke Street shop, Pure Home Couture has shared the news that they plan to close their brick & mortar operations sometime in April, citing a “shift in consumer behaviour” and economic uncertainty.
Thankfully, this won’t be a full ending of the business, with Pure Home Couture planning to focus their efforts on e-commerce.
“We strive to provide the best online shopping experience and you will still be able to get all your favourite products,” wrote the shop in a post on social media.
“While we are sad to turn the page on our beautiful atelier space we so adore, we embrace the future as a new beginning.”
In the meantime, Pure Home Couture is hosting a clearance sale with discounts of 20% to 50% off on items. Pop by to say goodbye between now and the end of April!
