The shop shared the news of their closure via social media, citing the numerous impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic as a key reason for the decision.
“We are thankful for all of your continued support and kindness. We have truly enjoyed being a part of the downtown community,” wrote Mablellie’s Drawer on Instagram.
“Unfortunately, with the constant forced closures from the pandemic, we have had no choice but to make the decision to close our doors.”
The shop’s final day of business was Wednesday, June 29th, and it held a large closing sale to help clear out their stock prior to shuttering their doors for good.
Thankfully, it appears that Mablellie’s Drawer’s location in Grimsby at 6 Ontario Street remains open for shopping.
