Bronzie’s Place is reopening after five months of closure

One of Hamilton’s favourite longstanding Italian joints that has been closed to the public for months just announced a reopening date.

Bronzie’s Place, one of the city’s most beloved spots for hearty, flavourful, no-nonsense pasta and pizza dishes, has been shuttered for much of the year, closing back in the middle of February after a pipe burst and flooded the basement-level restaurant.

Surely an extra difficult blow amid an already challenging pandemic year, the incident also meant Bronzie’s was unable to confirm an official reopening date, leaving their loyal customer base uncertain of when they’d get to dig into a fresh pizza or Chicken Parmigiana once again.

But thankfully, Bronzie’s has finally posted an update for the Hamilton masses that repairs and construction have been completed and that their restaurant will reopen for takeaway starting Friday, July 9th!

“It has been a long five months with being in the middle of a pandemic trying to survive and to be shut down [because of] a flood,” wrote Bronzie’s on social media. “Thank you to everyone who reached out to us during all of this; it speaks volumes.”

Bronzie’s Place will be open 7 days a week from 4 pm to 8 pm for takeaway only starting this Friday, July 9th.

Once Hamilton gets the go-ahead to move into Stage Three of reopening, the restaurant may also reopen its dining room for some limited in-person dining.
