One of East Hamilton’s gems for donuts, sourdough bread, and other delicious treats has expanded by opening a stand in the Hamilton Farmers’ Market.
Café Baffico, located at 1375 King Street East, originally opened as an intimate Italian café and eatery, serving up exceptional takes on classic dishes – including pasta and Roman-style pizza – made with quality ingredients and careful culinary touches.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Café Baffico pivoted to a fully takeout operation, offering treats like handmade donuts, sourdough boules, croissants, coffee, and a curated selection of takeaway wine and beer.
So I spent Sunday in Hamilton and had my first sourdough donut at Cafe Baffico. This beauty is filled with ricotta and plum jam #hamont #hamiltonontario #cafebaffico #hamonteats #sourdoughdonuts #sourdoughdoughnuts #ricottadonuts pic.twitter.com/9DIiH1whbC

Now, locals don’t have to head quite as far east to get their fill of Baffico’s excellent baked goods, as the café has opened a new stand in the Hamilton Farmers’ Market right by the York Boulevard entrance in spot that formerly held De La Terre Bakery.
Serving up coffee, sourdough bread, sourdough donuts, and more, Café Baffico is sure to become an extremely popular piece of the market; especially since spots offering similar treats – like De La Terre and RELAY Coffee – have recently left their stalls.
