The City of Hamilton just got a brand new look. Well, the website did, anyway.
A brand new website has been launched for the city, giving locals a redesigned hub for all things Hamilton including information about city infrastructure, public transit, local events, city-led programs, tourism and entertainment, news releases, and so much more.
While the colour scheme and information on the website remains similar, the visual design and interface now looks decidedly different.
Recently, the city offered this new website in a beta testing format, allowing locals to get a first crack at navigating the website and offering feedback.
The City of Hamilton’s new and improved website launches on Monday, September 19. The new version of https://t.co/sfBfFnLobS will enhance user experience and increase searchability for City information and online services.

According to the city, the new design was created to effectively change to fit any device, from phone to laptop to tablet, resulting in a more inclusive and user-friendly experience.
The city also says that the website has been redesigned in an effort to comply with the standards of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), with the new website reaching a 90 per cent compliance score; a 25 per cent improvement over the previous website.
“The City of Hamilton remains focused on improving our customer experience across all our services areas for all those who live, work, study and play in Hamilton,” said Mayor Fred Eisenberger in a statement.
“The new Hamilton.ca website will make it easier for people to connect with us and find out about City services any time, on any device. Ensuring information is available and accessible helps us achieve our goals of openness, transparency and trust.”
