Doors Open Hamilton is back for 2023 with a foodie focus

An annual event that lets locals get an in-depth look at some of the most fascinating heritage landmarks in Hamilton is back for 2023.

Doors Open Hamilton is taking place from May 6th to 7th, 2023 from 10 am to 4 pm each day with walking tours at an eclectic mix of nearly 40 different sites; some of which are not usually accessible to the public on a regular basis.

For the 2023 iteration of the event, Doors Open Hamilton is taking on a bit of a foodie focus, with a variety of the sites this year being food-oriented businesses housed within spaces of historical merit.

Some of these spots include Mystic Ramen, the Collins Brewhouse, Café Domestiique inside the main floor of the former Dundas Music Hall, Nellie James, Relay Coffee Roasters, Redchurch Café, Picone Fine Foods, Brewers Blackbird, Quatrefoil, and Shawn & Ed Brewing Co.

Of course, not all sites will be food-focused: locals can still take fascinating tours of iconic spaces like Whitehern, The Cotton Factory, St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Auchmar Manor, Battlefield House Museum, Dundurn Castle, the Lister Building, and many more.

This free event is an exciting way to dive in one some of Hamilton’s history and heritage, so check out Doors Open Hamilton on May 6th and 7th and have fun exploring!
