Dundurn Castle is offering special Christmas tours for the holidays

If you’re a Hamilton history buff, or just can’t get enough of a solid Victorian-era aesthetic, Dundurn Castle is going to be the place to be for the month of December.
Not only is the gorgeous Hamilton heritage site open to the public for interior tours, the halls have been fully decked with era-appropriate holiday decorations for what promises to be a Christmas display to top all other Christmas displays.
Seasonal garlands, wreaths, trees, and trim adorn the gloriously beautiful halls and walls of Sir Allan MacNab’s former mansion home, and each weekend through December, Dundurn Castle will be taking Hamiltonians on guided tours through the holiday-decorated house for a Christmas-themed dive into Hamilton history.
On top of the chance to wander the house and take in fascinating facts from the mid-19th century, Dundurn Castle will also take guests into the on-site historic kitchen and offer samples of fresh-made, traditional Christmas dishes, making this a tour that nourishes your brain and your belly.
If the more intensive guided tour experience isn’t for you, Dundurn Castle is also opening their doors to the Hamilton public during the day from Tuesdays to Sundays throughout December for Victorian Christmas; a tour opportunity allowing locals a more casual peek at the strikingly decorated Dundurn interior.
It’s going to be an unmissable holiday activity for the whole family to enjoy, so head on down to Dundurn Castle and party like it’s 1850!
Christmas Evening Tours at Dundurn Castle take place on all Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through December from 7 pm to 9 pm, and the more casual Victorian Christmas tours happen from Tuesday to Sunday through December from 12 pm to 4 pm.
