Free 2-hour holiday parking returns to Hamilton BIAs for 2024

A Hamilton holiday tradition that encourages locals to shop local has returned for 2024. 

Free 2-hour street parking is available in select Hamilton business improvement areas (BIAs) beginning November 24th and wrapping up December 24th. 

Locals getting holiday shopping done can take advantage of the free street parking in the Ancaster BIA, Barton Village BIA, Concession BIA, International Village BIA, Ottawa Street BIA, Locke Street BIA, and Westdale Village BIA.

The free parking also extends to Hamilton Downtown from West Avenue to Queen, Hunter to Cannon, and on James Street from Charlton to Barton.

Dundas shoppers will also be able to enjoy 2 hours of free holiday in all of their municipal lots between December 1st and 31st, with paid on-street meters remaining in effect. 

It’s the perfect excuse to pour some money into Hamilton’s small businesses as you make your way through your holiday shopping list this year! Get out there and shop local!
