Hamilton is expected to see some freezing rain on Tuesday, potentially making conditions for driving and walking dangerous.
A weather advisory from Environment Canada explains that the freezing rain is forecasted to begin early Tuesday morning, possibly leading to the accretion of a few millimetres of ice on some surfaces.

“Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery,” reads the notice from Environment Canada.
“Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.”
Thankfully, the freezing rain is expected to be short-lived, turning into light rain by late morning or early afternoon on Tuesday.
