In the days following a tragic fire at a townhouse on the Hamilton Mountain, a fundraiser has been created on GoFundMe to support the family of three of the fire’s victims.
The fundraiser, which sets its goal at $30,000 and has already reached over $16,000 in donations at the time of this writing, is intended to help cover the costs of end-of-life arrangements and the associated costs for a celebration of life.
The house fire in question took place in the late evening on December 29th at 14 Derby Street, taking the lives of four people including Kassie Chrysler and her two children Lambeau and Khaleesi McIsaac, who were 7 and 8 years old respectively.
The GoFundMe page was created with the permission of Khaleesi and Lambeau’s grandmother by Brandy Rennick, whose son attended school, and was best friends, with Khaleesi.
A devastating overnight fire on the east Mountain has left four dead — including two children.

“The light and joy that Lambeau and Khaleesi brought with them into the lives of those around them every day is hard to express in words. Every day they looked for the best and encouraged that in those around them,” wrote Rennick on the GoFund Me fundraiser.
“Kassie was a dedicated mother who did everything in her power to provide the best for her children, including surviving older siblings to Khaleesi and Lambeau; Riley and Sunni.”
The fundraising efforts thus far have been able to cover a large chunk of the funeral costs. Donations are being accepted via GoFundMe here.
