Green Cities Foundation is hosting an event in Hamilton

Green Cities Foundation is a Canadian company that aims to bring light and joy to communities by improving public parks, gardens, and green spaces.
On Saturday June 3rd from 9am-12pm, the foundation will be hosting an event here in Hamilton!
The foundation was founded in 2011, with their first improvement being St. James Park. After realizing the movement was so impactful, it was decided that this should continue across the country.
They continued to be successful and became a Canadian Private Charitable Foundation in 2018.
The non-profit charitable organization St. Matthew’s House will be their next big improvement.
St. Matthew’s House is located on 414 Barton Street East, but the work will extend through Barton Village. This includes Birge Park, Birch Park, and Woodland Park.
The goal of this improvement is to improve health and well-being for the Barton Village Community.
The event will allow for more improvements in the community including better playgrounds for children, more opportunity for growing plants and food, better air quality, and a chance for the community to get involved.
The foundation encourages the community to volunteer as it will be a great event to be a part of!
