Hamilton bistro on Concession Street closes its doors

A recently opened Hamilton restaurant for burgers, breakfasts, and beyond has sadly closed its doors.
Broken Barrel Bistro was open at 638 Concession Street on the Hamilton Mountain, taking over the restaurant space that most recently held vegan fast food joint Bring Me Some and – before that – popular breakfast spot Papa Leo’s.
The menu featured plenty of pub-style comforts including shareable appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and breakfast items like Eggs Benedict and breakfast burritos.
Broken Barrel first opened its doors in June 2024 and, after only half a year in business, quietly shuttered. A ‘For Lease’ sign now hangs in the window of the Concession restaurant, and the business is listed as permanently closed on Google.
The restaurant’s social media hasn’t been updated since December 2024, with no formal closing announcement made public.
