A Hamilton company specializing in handmade, artisanal cheeses was just decorated with numerous international awards.
The Udder Way Artisan Cheese Co, located at 410 Regional Road 20 in Stoney Creek, won big at the 2022 World Cheese Awards in Wales, where cheesemakers from more than 40 countries brought their best to compete.
Among over 4,000 worldwide cheeses sampled by the jury, The Udder Way’s five competing cheese all placed in the top 3 of their respective categories; and their sheep milk cheese, Oveja Negra, won for world’s best firm sheep milk cheese and best overall Canadian cheese.

Additionally, their Kruger Blue cheese and semi-firm Montebello won silver in their respective categories, while the Baco Noir-soaked Flat on Your Baco and Evi’s Passion Brie won bronze.

It’s an incredible achievement that puts this exceptional local cheesemaker on the map!
