Hamilton country market and bakery is closing after 23 years

A well-loved country market and bakery in Hamilton is closing after nearly a quarter-century in business.
Punch Bowl Market & Bakery, located at 136 Ridge Road in Stoney Creek, is a family-run business known for its homestyle baked goods like fresh pies, butter tarts, cookies, loaves, and much more.
They also function as a small grocer and garden centre with fresh local produce, gourmet foods, pantry items, gifts, and a selection of plants and flowers.

Sadly, this well-loved local staple has announced that the 2022 season will be their last in business.
“After 23 wonderful years serving this great community, we as a family have made the difficult decision to close our doors permanently,” wrote Punch Bowl Market in a post on social media.
“The Punch Bowl Country Market & Bakery has been a labour of love. Many of you have become like family to each of us and we will miss you very much.”
The market’s final day in operation will be December 23rd, 2022. From now until then, all gifts & toys will be 50 per cent off, and baked goods will be available while quantities last.
