A Hamilton restaurant known for its standout Peruvian food has announced that it is permanently closing its doors.
Culantro Peruvian Cookery, located at 537 Main Street East, has been one of Hamilton’s go-to spots for authentic Peruvian cuisine for nearly 10 years.
Dishes like empanadas, ceviche, and much more have been made with quality, local ingredients, resulting in dishes as colourful as they are flavourful.
However, all good things must come to an end, and Culantro is bidding farewell to Hamilton after a decade of serving up cuisine that offered something markedly different from the saturation of Italian bistros and BBQ joints.
“Thank you everyone for nearly a decade of food, fun and friendship. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to run my own restaurant,” wrote Culantro in a post on Instagram.
