If you’ve passed by Hamilton City Hall in the past few days, you’ve undoubtedly noticed the eye-catching giant tiger stationed out front.
That’s Stripes – the mascot for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats – rendered in a brilliant floral display made up of over 2,000 individual plants and standing at a considerable 10 feet tall. He’s even got claws, razor-sharp teeth, and a football to play with!
Each year, City Hall hosts a beautiful and fun floral feature throughout the summer crafted by the city’s horticulture team, with each year’s feature being a completely different display.
It’s hard to imagine a more Hamiltonian choice for 2023’s floral display than the iconic feline face of the city’s beloved professional football team.
Stripes will take up residence outside of Hamilton City Hall throughout the summer, so stop by for an in-person visit and a photo op!
