Hamilton restaurant Bon Temps reopens as casual bar Handsome Dave’s

A favourite in Hamilton’s food scene that closed earlier this year has reopened with a completely different vibe and concept.
Handsome Dave’s is the cheekily-named new casual bar and hangout open now at 61 Young Street in the Corktown neighbourhood.
The spot is a reinvention of owner Dave Fauteux’s previous venture Bon Temps: an intimate fine dining spot that favoured French and Canadian cuisines, well curated wines, and hand-crafted cocktails.
After closing Bon Temps back in August following five years in business, Fauteux promised to open a decidedly more laidback venture in its place: a spot where locals could pop by for a pint, nibble on bar snacks, listen to live music, and watch a football game on TV.
It’s a welcomed addition to Corktown that’s already earning favour with locals who are eager to find a new neighbourhood hangout!
