Hamilton spot for Chinese food closes its doors

A recently opened spot for Chinese food in Hamilton has sadly announced that it’s closing its doors.
Dragon Place was located at 2070 Rymal Road East, first opening its doors in spring 2024 with a full take-out and dine-in menu of Chinese dishes with favourites like chicken balls, breaded shrimp, chicken lo mein, fried rice, and much more.
However, after only months of being open to the public, Dragon Place has shared the news that they’ve closed up shop effective January 3rd, 2025.
“We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout our time and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly,” wrote Dragon Place in a post on social media.
“Due to multiple determining factors, it has become impossible for us to keep the business going. We treasure the shared experiences with you and appreciate your patronage greatly.”
However, it seems this isn’t fully the end: the business owners are planning to open a ‘completely new business’ in the same location and will be undergoing a full renovation. An announcement with more details is still to come.
