Hamilton spot for Italian eats expands and rebrands

A Hamilton spot for handmade pastas, freshly baked breads, homemade sauces, and much more is expanding and rebranding their business.
Pasta Mercato, located at 170 Locke Street South, is also taking over the small storefront beside them to expand their capacity and diversify their offerings.
On top of their usual take-home food fare, grocery, and pantry items, Pasta Mercato – which will henceforth be called Artie’s – will also be operating an espresso bar and bakery going forward.
Sourdough, focaccia, and sandwich bread will be baked fresh in-house as well as some long sourdough pizzas offered by the slice.
On the sweeter end of things, expect pastries with a fruit and nut focus, complemented by freshly pulled espresso beverages.
The newly-acquired next-door space, which previously held La Crème de la Crème Creamery, will carry the bakery and espresso bar, while Pasta Mercato’s original space will turn into a space for hand-cut pasta, fresh ravioli, and wholesale ordering.
