Those who regularly use the Keddy Access Trail along Hamilton’s Claremont Access may need to make other arrangements this month.
Beginning Monday, March 6th and lasting until Friday, March 24th, the City of Hamilton will be closing the Keddy Access Trail in the daytime in order to complete some fixes and touch ups including railing repairs, graffiti removal, sweeping, and more.
A portion of the Keddy Access Trail (between the top of the trail to the Arkledun Ave access point) will be closed Monday to Friday (9am – 3pm) between March 6 and March 24 in order to complete railing repairs, sweeping, graffiti removal and more. Thanks for your patience!

The closures – which are set between the top of the trail and the Arkledun Avenue access point – will occur Monday to Friday of each week from 9 am to 3 pm; a potential barrier to those who utilize the Keddy Access Trail during daytime hours.
Since opening two years ago, the Keddy Access Trail has become a popular access point for pedestrians and cyclists to commute between the Hamilton Mountain and lower city.
Recently, a number of Hamilton’s visual artists were commissioned to create public art pieces along the trail, giving it a striking and varied visual identity as well.
