Hamilton’s beloved rockers Arkells just announced a brand new full-length album to be released in 2022.
Fresh off of their pair of 2022 Juno Award nominations, Arkells have shared the news that their next studio record Blink Twice is set to drop later this year.
The record functions as a follow-up to their acclaimed 2021 album Blink Once, which itself is up for Rock Album of the Year at the 2022 Juno Awards.

Accompanying the album announcement was the release of the first single off of Blink Twice: a track titled Reckoning which opens with a restrained, funky groove that bursts forth into a pulsing rock ‘n roll chorus while carrying an urgent, politically charged lyric.
“If we’re being honest, Reckoning is an ‘eat the rich’ song,” reads a note from the Arkells website. “The song is about privileged people who bury their heads in the sand. It’s also about the admiration for those who lead by example, and want justice for people beyond their own kin.”
The track is an assured taste of what’s to come from Blink Twice: a record that’s sure to be among the most anticipated for Canadian music fans!
