The full closure of Hamilton’s popular Black Forest Inn – a German and Austrian restaurant that has served the city for more than half a century – turned out to be thankfully short lived.
The old-school King Street East restaurant shared to social media that, following what locals thought would be a permanent closure in early September, they will in fact be reopening their doors in early October.
“We. Are. Back. And we couldn’t have done it without you,” wrote Black Forest Inn on Instagram. “A heartfelt thank you to our incredible patrons for your unwavering support.”
The reopening will occur in two phases, with takeout and deliver only returning on October 3rd, followed by the return of in-person dining starting October 9th.
Black Forest Inn promises the same menu locals have come to know and love for years – including their house-made schnitzels in a wide variety of options – plus a few new additions and no price increases.
