Hamilton’s Cannon Coffee is reopening in its new location

Coffee lovers won’t have to wait long for one of Hamilton’s most popular cafes – Cannon Coffee – to reopen in its brand-new location.

The Crown Point coffee shop – first opened 11 years ago at 179 Ottawa Street North by Anne Cumby and Cindy Schnaithmann – recently announced its plans to move to a larger home and leave their original digs behind.

Don’t worry, though: they’re only moving right across the street to 180 Ottawa Street North, where they’ll be serving up their lovingly crafted coffee, delicious homemade waffles, and much more under the stewardship of Chris Poirier, who has been sole owner of the Cannon since 2020.

To facilitate the exciting transition, the original location saw its final service on Sunday, March 19. But the total closure has been gratefully short-lived, with the Cannon planning to open at 180 Ottawa Street North this coming Monday, March 27th.

Locals can expect all of what they loved about the Cannon alongside exciting additions, including a thoughtfully-visioned interior space, larger capacity, and an expanded menu with new offerings like desserts.

We can’t wait to check out Cannon Coffee in this new and exciting phase of their life in Hamilton! Visit them at 180 Ottawa Street North beginning Monday, March 27th at 7 am.
