Hamilton’s former Club Absinthe is becoming a steakhouse

The King William Street space that most recently held Club Absinthe won’t sit empty for long.

That’s because a new Hamilton steak and seafood restaurant is planning to move in at 38 King William Street, adding itself to the bustling restaurant row that already features a French bistro, a taco joint, a burger bar, an Indian restaurant, and some casual fine dining spots.

Banners have been hung up outside of space promoting the forthcoming steakhouse, which will be named Conversate and is sure to feature a menu of fine cuts of steak, seafood, cocktails, and more.

Details of the restaurant are currently pretty scant, but the banner on the building suggests that Conversate plans to open its doors sometime in Fall 2022!

Club Absinthe recently announced its departure from 38 King William Street, where it has lived for over a decade.

The popular venue – known for hosting club nights, drag shows, markets, and more – will be moving back to its former digs at 233 King Street East.
