Hamilton’s Grandad’s Donuts sets new date for renovation closure

Hamilton’s most popular donut shop has announced an updated date for their temporary closure; and this time, it’s definitely happening.
Grandad’s Donuts, located at 574 James Street North, has been planning to close up shop in order to complete some renovations and expansions of their space, previously intending for the closure to begin at the end of January.
However, due to some delays out of their control, the closure was pushed out further into the future, meaning Hamiltonians still had some precious time left to stock up on Walnut Crunches and Ghost Busters.
Now, the donut shop has set a firm closure date of March 12th – just four days from today – which is expected to remain in place for about two months.
Grandad’s has long been a Hamilton staple for classic, old-school donuts done well; they regularly see lineups out the door and often sell out of stock before closing.
After this renovation – which is in part meant to help Grandad’s increase their production capacity – here’s hoping there will be even more donut goodness on hand when they reopen in spring!
