Heads up, drivers: the full Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway will be closing for a few days this month due to maintenance work.
A release from the City of Hamilton explains that the Linc will be closed in both the eastbound and westbound direction beginning on May 26th at 11 pm and ending on Monday, May 30th at 4 am.
The eastbound closure will be in effect between Golf Links Road and the Upper Red Hill Valley Pakrway off-ramp, and the westbound closure will be in effect between the Red Hill Valley Parkway and Mohawk Road.
In order to complete maintenance on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (LINC), the City of Hamilton will be closing the LINC in the eastbound and westbound direction beginning on Thursday, May 26 at 11pm until Monday, May 30 at 4am.

“While working in the westbound direction, access to the Highway 403 on-ramps and the Rousseaux St off-ramp will be maintained with access available from the Golf Links/Mohawk Rd on-ramps,” reads the release from the city.
The maintenance work being completed in this time includes spot resurfacing, asphalt repairs, bridge and signage repairs, pavement markings, ditching, catch basin cleaning, and vegetation maintenance.
Eastbound work will begin on Thursday, May 26th at 11 pm, and westbound work will begin on Friday, May 27th at 10am, with work in both directions expected to end on Monday, May 30th at 4 pm, weather permitting.
The city anticipates that traffic will increase during these closure periods, and drivers are advised to plan accordingly and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
