In a year where virtually every live event has been cancelled or postponed, Hamilton has seen a severe lack of concerts, plays, or other forms of performance art; and if you’re like me, you’re missing the singular experience that only a live event can provide.
That’s why it’s exciting to see Hamilton’s renowned Brott Music Festival – headed by internationally-recognized conductor Boris Brott – has announced their first live event for 2020 to offer the experience of live music in a safe, socially distanced setting.
The concert is called A Taste for Every Season, a special live music event taking place on September 6th at Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery just a short drive away in Jordan, Ontario; and the whole affair has a unique and immersive twist to it.

Presented safely outdoors with strict physical distancing in effect, the concert will feature a live performance of Vivaldi’s classic Four Seasons, with acclaimed violinist Marc Djokic as guest soloist. The fun twist is that each movement of Vivaldi’s classic suite will be paired with a different selected wine from Sue-Ann Staff’s own collection.
“I am really excited to be making music live,” says Artistic Director Boris Brott. “The Four Seasons is an iconic work and fits so well with the idea of different wines.”
In an effort to keep the event safe in the COVID-19 era, tickets to this special event must be purchased in groups of four to be seated at their own distanced tables. Charcuterie boards and four wine pairings are included in the ticket price.
Tickets are limited for this one-of-a-kind live music event, so grab yours as soon as possible!
