A new café has opened its doors in Hamilton that promises a fusion of Indian and American flavours and recipes.
The Gully Café is now open at 29 Barton Street East near James Street North in the former home of the short-lived vegan eatery Sookham.
This new spot doubles as a café and an eatery with lunch and dinner options, pairing coffee, espresso, fruit teas, and baked goods with heartier fare like burgers, wraps, chicken wings, and more.
The menu combines American comfort foods with judicious touches from Indian cuisines, with dishes like the aloo tikki burger or the chicken burger that blends tandoori sauce and mint mayo.
There’s also plenty of choice for those with a sweet tooth: indulgent milkshakes are on offer, plus a selection of loaded waffles includes creations like the Berry Fusion with vanilla ice cream, maple syrup, beets, and white blossoms; or the Kit Kat Overload with chocolate fudge ice cream, chocolate drizzle, chocolate chips, and Kit Kat chunks.
It’s certainly an eclectic mix of items, but there’s so much we’re eager to taste for ourselves!
