Krispy Kreme is opening its first Hamilton location

The long-awaited opening of Krispy Kreme’s first Hamilton location has finally arrived.
The shop at 1290 Rymal Road East on the Hamilton Mountain has been under construction since 2023, and anticipation among local fans of the iconic glazed doughnuts has been high ever since the initial announcement.
The wait is finally over: Krispy Kreme is officially opening its Hamilton storefront and serving up doughnuts and coffee in-store and via their drive-thru on May 13th, 2025.
Not only will the 4,600 square-foot storefront be a spot for locals to grab boxes of Krispy Kreme’s freshly made doughnuts, they’ll also be able to watch the doughnuts being made fresh with the storefront’s Hot Light Theatre Shop design.
Additionally, the first 12 guests in line for Grand Opening Day will receive a special Golden Ticket granting them access to a free dozen doughnuts every month for a full year.
“Hamilton has such an incredible sense of community, pride, and momentum and we’re thrilled to become a part of it,” says Krispy Kreme Canada’s Co-CEO Chris Lindsay in a release.
Krispy Kreme has been a prominent force in doughnuts for over 85 years, first entering the Canadian market in 2001 with 19 locations across the country to date.
