New bar opening in Hamilton will bring nostalgic old-school vibes

At a time where Hamilton has seen an influx of bougier bars, a new spot opening soon is taking a more relaxed approach in hopes of becoming a new favourite neighbourhood watering hole.
Wildcat Tavern is preparing to open its doors soon at 353 Barton Street East, bringing a nostalgic, old-school type of bar to the local nightlife scene under the stewardship of folks who previously worked for spots like Endless Bar and Brux House.
With homey décor including wood panelled walls and neon beer signs, the chill vibes at Wildcat Tavern will play host to a menu of Ontario craft beer, house cocktails, and some crushable domestic classics like Labatt 50 or Old Vienna.
They’ve also gone out of their way to make the drink menu as inclusive as possible with a dedicated list of non-alcoholic options including mocktails and near-beers.
A small menu of bar snacks completes the picture a new spot that could easily become a local favourite for those in the Barton Street area!
