Hamilton just got a new creative and social space that is unlike anything else in the city.
That’s because the Hamilton Prop House – now open at 422 Barton Street East – isn’t just a space housing sets and props for film and television: it’s also a creator’s hub, a bar, and a café.
Locals who wish to visit must first sign up for a free membership to access the facilities at the Hamilton Prop House. But don’t worry: a ‘level one’ membership is free of charge, with some premium level memberships to be announced soon.
Members will instantly be inspired by the wide array of film props and set pieces on display: an ideal setting to get to work on a new project or socialize with other Hamiltonians in creative industries.
On top of workspace, Hamilton Prop House also houses two bars – both repurposed from the Netflix series Drink Masters – where members can order film & television-inspired cocktails like Don Draper’s Old Fashioned, The Great Gatbsy, or the Casablanca.
For those who don’t drink alcohol, there’s also a wellness bar offering non-alcoholic cocktails that as just as fun and thoughtful as their boozy counterparts.
Then there’s the soon-to-launch Express Café, which is situated inside a reconstructed train set and offers locally-roasted coffee and espresso plus tea and café-style snacks and pastries.
It’s thrilling to see such a unique spot open in Hamilton, and we can’t wait to check it out ourselves!
