New restaurant for burgers, sandwiches, and more opens in Hamilton

A new restaurant has recently opened in Hamilton that blends simple comfort foods with homey, relaxed vibes.
Broken Barrel Bistro is open for business at 638 Concession Street on the Hamilton Mountain, taking over the restaurant space that recently held vegan fast food joint Bring Me Some and, before that, Papa Leo’s Restaurant.
This new spot takes a simple approach to its menu, favouring burgers and sandwiches alongside a menu of shareable appetizers and some breakfast offerings.
Locals can expect tasty options like spinach dip, nachos, salads, smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish tacos, and more, with breakfast options including waffles, French toast, breakfast burritos, Eggs Benedict, and beyond.
One of their signature dishes is the aptly named Hamilton Sandwich, which loads turkey and ham onto iconic Roma pizza slices as the bread, finished with red onion and mustard aioli.
