New smash burger spot is opening in Hamilton and we’re already drooling

A great smash burger is a thing of beauty: freshly ground beef smashed flat on the grill, creating a crispy exterior matched with a juicy, flavourful interior.

Lucky for burger lovers, Hamilton is about to get a brand new spot dedicated to that enticing, fast food-style treat.

Hotties Smashburgers has put up some signage at its forthcoming Hamilton location at 659 Barton Street East, right in the heart of Barton Village and directly beside Hendry’s Barbershop.

The burger shack already has a successful flagship location on Lakeshore Boulevard in Etobicoke, and their popularity has allowed them to expand by opening a shop here in Hamilton.

Locals can expect a small-but-mighty menu of burger creations here, including the eponymous Hottie which classically features grilled onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, American cheese, and house burger sauce; or the Hottie Toddie which adds jalapeno, bacon, garlic pepper sauce, and house ketchup to the mix.

A plant-based Impossible Smash Burger will also be available for vegetarian and vegan visitors, and Hotties rounds out their menu with loaded all-beef hot dogs and a tempting variety of fries that also include loaded options like chili cheese fries and bacon cheese fries.

Basically, this place sounds like comfort food heaven; and though an opening date has yet to be announced, we’ll be keeping our eyes on this new Barton Street burger spot as it gets closer to launching!

  They don’t HAVE a location in Etobicoke. They HAD one and have moved it to Hamilton. Good for you guys, not so good for us. Fantastic smash burgers.
