New spot for charcoal chicken shawarma opens in Hamilton

A new spot for shawarma and more that just opened in Hamilton is doing something a little less common with their chicken.
Charc Shawarma is a new family-owned restaurant specializing in Syrian and Mediterranean cuisine, serving up delicious chicken shawarma on wraps, over rice, and in family-sized dinner platters.
What sets this spot apart from many other shawarma spots in Hamilton is that Charc Shawarma – as the name suggests – cooks their chicken shawarma over charcoal, giving in a rich depth of flavour and smokiness not easily found in Hamilton (besides the popular Rony’s Rotisserie in Stoney Creek).
Located at 937 Fennell Avenue East on the Hamilton Mountain, this spot is already proving to be a hit among locals who love their shawarma and have been eagerly getting their first tastes of what Charc Shawarma has to offer.
Between shawarma, falafel, kibbeh, hummus, baba ghanoush, poutines, and more, there’s something for pretty much anyone at this intriguing new independent food spot!
