New spot for gourmet ‘fast food’ is opening in Hamilton

We’re already drooling over a new ‘fast food’ joint opening soon in Hamilton that sounds like it’ll kick your standard burgers & fries up by several significant notches.

Goldies Fast Food is getting ready to fling open its doors at 152 James Street South, serving up a very enticing and nostalgic menu of handmade burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, loaded fries, and indulgent sundaes; all made with high quality ingredients.

What makes Goldies all the more exciting is that it’s the latest project by Joel Soares, who previously worked in notable kitchens like Quatrefoil in Dundas and is likely best known as one of the founders of Cowabunga Pizza.

Soares’ menu of burgers includes creations like The Gold Standard, topped with American cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, house pickles, and Gold sauce; the All-American with chilli, American cheese, and diced white onion; and the Classic, loaded with lettuce, tomato, house pickles, red onions, house ketchup, mustard, mayo, and American cheese.

Fried chicken sandwiches like Buffalo and Honey Jalapeno are also eye-catchers, and Goldies even makes their menu inclusive with vegetarian and vegan options like Impossible burgers and nuggets.

Fries come in standard form or in loaded variations like chili cheese fries or ranch fries, and a rich list of vanilla soft serve sundaes promises a sweet finale.

Goldies Fast Food is inching closer and closer to opening, so give them a follow on social media to stay updated!
