A new spot for delicious Indian street food is getting ready to open its doors in Hamilton.
Avani Indian Rolls & Bowls is a small fast-casual restaurant chain that’s a spinoff of Avani Asian Indian Bistro in Mississauga, and they’re getting ready to open their first Hamilton location at 302 James Street North in the space that most recently held Sunny Corner Bar.
The spot specializes in fresh, flavourful Indian street food and fusion dishes including totally customizable bowls with a choice of base vessel like rice, greens, or fries; protein like chicken tikka or beef keema; vegetables such as curried cauliflower or chana masala; and house-made sauces.
Avani also specializes in something they call the “burroti,” which is their version of a burrito made with Indian ingredients and topping loaded onto roti.
Other street foods like loaded fries and samosas round things off on an enticing menu that has no shortage of appealing choices; especially for lovers of Indian cuisine.
A firm opening date is still to come, but locals can check out Avani on social media to stay updated!
