New spot for tasty Italian sandwiches opens in Hamilton

A new Italian sandwich spot that has freshly opened in Hamilton is sure to become a new lunchtime favourite.

Piccolo is a sandwich counter now open at 17 King William Street as part of Hamilton’s restaurant row, serving up a menu of hearty Italian sandwiches, Roman-style pizza, and salads.

It’s a more casual component of a new restaurant opening soon in the same space called Parma, which promises a sit-down, contemporary Italian dining experience with pastas and beyond.

Piccolo’s current menu of sandwiches on house-made Tuscan Schiacciata bread includes options like the Prosciutto with arugula, preserved red peppers, and mushroom spread; the Roast Beef with Dijon mustard, sauteed onions, and pickled banana peppers; and the Caprese with heirloom tomatoes, arugula, fior de latte, and basil pesto.

Add to that some Roman pizza options like Margherita and Bianco, plus salads like a classic Caesar, and you have the makings of an attractive new spot for laidback yet high quality Italian eats in Downtown Hamilton!

Visit Piccolo at 17 King William Street, and follow them on social media here
