One such film is the forthcoming sci-fi thriller Hello Stranger, which recently wrapped production in Hamilton and features stars like Sam Worthington, Jordana Brewster, and Canada’s own Simu Liu of Kim’s Convenience fame.

Production on Hello Stranger ran from January to early March, covering all sorts of familiar Downtown Hamilton locations including FirstOntario Concert Hall, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, the Sheraton Hotel in Jackson Square, and James Street Bookseller.
According to a release, Hello Stranger follows Faye (played by Brewster) as she attempts to replace her recently deceased husband Evan with an android simulant.
However, Faye’s relationship with the new android doesn’t really replace her relationship with Evan himself, even as android Evan vies for her affections. Things get further complicated when a government agent (Sam Worthington) begins to pursue the android as a potential threat to humankind.
Hello Stranger is directed by April Mullen with a screenplay by Ryan Christopher Churchill, and is produced by Myriad Pictures.
