One of the public parks and playgrounds on the Hamilton Mountain is closed until spring of next year.
The City of Hamilton tweeted that Eleanor Park, located at 80 Presidio Drive in Ward 6, will be closed for a major construction project from now until approximately May 2023, weather permitting.
The closure will help facilitate the demolition, excavation, and reconstruction of the playground and asphalt pathways in an effort to revitalize the Hamilton Mountain park.

This work comes following a public survey the city issued earlier this year, asking locals for feedback regarding features they’d like to see in a new design for the playground.
Currently, Eleanor Park features other amenities for recreation like a basketball court, splash pad, baseball field, walking path loop, fitness area, and shade structure.
