Homer Simpson would be in heaven at a new shop for handmade donuts that just opened in Burlington.
Well, “new” is relative. Bloomer’s – a bakery specializing in delicious vegan donuts made in small batches – has already been a hit at its original locations in Toronto for a few years.
That success has allowed Bloomer’s to expand a bit with additional locations, including one that opens in Burlington today – Thursday, November 10th – at 1401 Plains Road East.
I tried Bloomer’s #vegan #doughnuts @VegFoodFest, and here I am today, picking some up for my niece’s doughnut birthday party. Vanilla Sprinkles, Rose Pistachio, Banana “Not-ella,” Chococonut Love, Cinnamon Sugar, and Strawberry Chocolate. Yum! 🍩❤️#donuts #veganbakery pic.twitter.com/CUwytg1am9

Visitors can expect a range of seasonally rotating donut flavours baked fresh in-house daily using exclusively plant-based ingredients.
Depending on when you pop by, you might be able to get your hands on flavours ranging from pecan butter tart to birthday cake, from wild blueberry to Biscoff cheesecake, and many, many others.
As pretty to look at as they are delicious, Bloomer’s donuts are sure to be just as much of a hit in Burlington as they are in Toronto.
