Renderings for new McMaster Graduate Residence have been released

Future grad students of McMaster University can look forward to a brand new residence being built in downtown Hamilton, with renderings recently going live on Knightstone Capital Inc’s website.

Located on 191 King Street West, at the corner of King and Bay Street across from Jackson Square, this new development will house 644 beds and contain a public parking structure with 265 stalls.

The tower is proposed to be 30 storeys in height.

The future residence is planned to open in 2023, making it a great living opportunity for students who will be entering graduate programs in the next couple years.

This project is the latest in several downtown investments McMaster has made over the past decade within the Hamilton area.

Some other notable investments from the university include the McMaster Centre for Continuing Education at Jackson Square (1 James St N), the David Braley Health Sciences Centre (100 Main St W), and most recently the acquisition of The Hamilton Spectator building (44 Frid St) as part of their plans to redevelop Frid Street as part of a growing Innovation Park campus.

You can find more information on the development on Knightstone Capital’s website.
