Maple syrup season is creeping closer, and Hamilton’s historic Westfield Heritage Village has officially opened reservations for locals to experience it firsthand.
Westfield will be hosting maple syrup season events every Sunday from February 23rd to March 23rd – and over March Break on Wednesday, March 12th and Thursday, March 13th – where visitors can check out demonstration sites to observe the whole traditional process from sap to syrup.
Other maple syrup-themed activations will also be on hand, including the Maple Trivia Trail, a themed gift shop and general store with maple treats, and homemade pancakes provided by the St. George Lions Club at Ironwood Hall.
Reservations are required for maple syrup season, and locals can book their 2-hour timeslot on the Westfield Heritage Village website. A $10 reservation fee is in effect, plus a vehicle fee of $11 and a per-person fee of $5.50 with children ages 5 and under free. There is a 6-person limit per reservation.
